I burnt through two full cycles of my iPhone's battery while only being able to get through half of the headset's battery. The headset battery will handily outperform your smartphone's battery. The USB charging cable is of the flat variety, and only flexes easily on one plane. I have used it for phone calls to others, and have made test calls to myself, and I would be lying if I didn't say that it offers the best sounding mic audio of any wireless headset out there today.Some notes after having used it for a day If the headset goes out of range while you're wearing it, you will hear a single beep. This headset is able to do very well when paired with a Bluetooth 4.0 device like the iPhone 5.Outgoing audio quality is arguably one of the biggest problems with Bluetooth headsets, and from all my tests, the quality on this headset is outstanding. In my opinion this does not detract from the 5/5 rating I gave for sound quality.
When playing music from my MacBook Pro with Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, I would hear very frequent crackling, almost like the beginning of a well worn LP track. Nothing appeared to be hacked together, as all functions appeared to be properly and fully implemented.The audio quality can be affected noticeably when connected to older Bluetooth devices. In iOS, a battery meter appears that shows the battery level of the headset. The volume controls affect the sound output of the iPhone, and all playback controls work, demonstrating proper compatibility.
The audio is clear, plenty loud, and offers good frequency response when properly seated in your ears.
Past purchases experienced frequent disconnections, choppy audio, less than fully compatible playback and phone controls, and/or short battery life.The headset paired easily and quickly with my iPhone 5, and sounded great. I have been waiting for years to see an A2DP headset of this form factor that did not suffer from one or more crippling flaws.
